Complete Interior Restoration — Pony Interior Package

PROJECT OVERVIEW
A ground-up interior restoration of a numbers-matching '67 Mustang Fastback. The owner wanted the interior brought back to factory-correct condition with the Deluxe Pony Interior package, using period-correct materials and colors while incorporating modern comfort improvements invisible to the eye.
THE CHALLENGE
The original interior was almost entirely gone — seats were ripped through to the springs, the headliner had collapsed, door panels were water-damaged, and the carpet was beyond saving. The owner had specific expectations for historical accuracy, including correct stitch patterns, correct grain vinyl, and factory-correct Ember Glow color matching.
OUR APPROACH
We sourced factory-specification materials from specialized classic Ford suppliers. Seat foam was rebuilt using correct-density foam with modern support improvements beneath. Door panels were fabricated from scratch using original panel patterns. The headliner was replaced with correct-weave material and installed using the original bow structure. Every stitch pattern was matched to factory specifications.
THE RESULT
The completed interior is indistinguishable from a factory-fresh 1967 Pony Interior. The car went on to win its class at the Goodguys Sacramento show. The owner reports significantly improved seat comfort on long drives despite the authentic appearance.
