THE BUILD IN DETAIL

PROJECT OVERVIEW

A meticulous interior restoration of one of the most iconic Porsche models ever built. This Carrera RS required a complete leather interior rebuild that maintained the lightweight sport ethos of the original while using the finest German leather hides available. Every detail had to be perfect — this car's value demands it.

THE CHALLENGE

Working on a car valued in the seven figures means zero margin for error. The original lightweight door cards, seat shells, and trim pieces had to be preserved and recovered without any modification to the underlying structure. Color matching to the original Blood Orange exterior with black leather interior required multiple sample iterations with the owner before proceeding.

OUR APPROACH

We worked directly with a German leather tannery to source hides with the correct grain and hand. Seat covers were patterned from the originals, which we carefully documented before disassembly. Every panel was recovered using period-correct methods — hand-sewn where the originals were hand-sewn, machine-stitched where appropriate. Lightweight door cards were recovered without adding any weight.

THE RESULT

The completed interior meets concours-level standards. The car was subsequently shown at the Werks Reunion Monterey and received recognition for its interior quality. The owner has driven it over 2,000 miles since completion with no issues.
